We enjoyed the Tuscan landscape with Selvaggia for six days. During the period that we walked it was very hot: on time and the prospect of a swimming pool made the kids (6, 8 and 10) survived well! We had an adapted trip because we had a rest day after 3 days. Given the warmth, that was secretly nice, and also nice: just staying for 1 day at the agroturismo. Very hospitable people and beautiful views: we can recommend it to everyone to get to know the area. Tinne, thank you very much!

We did a four-day trip with 4 people and two donkeys: Selvaggia and Carolina, two affectionate, calm and reasonably docile four-legged friends. The trip was beautiful and perfectly organized by Tinne. We especially enjoyed the lavish Ferragosto banquet at La Landuccia and the discovery of the dilapidated but picturesque San Michele "spa" from the 15th century. All overnight stays were pure luxury and the hosts were friendly and helpful. I wanted to thank Tinne once again for driving me to Cecina to take our replacement car away. This was already my fourth donkey ride (after the three in France), but this was by far the best and the most beautiful!

We did a 4-day trek with the punk of donkeys: Fiamma. She has the longest mane, but soon turned out to be a very sweet donkey. The welcome from Tinne was warm and we received clear explanations about how to handle and care for the donkey. It was a fantastic experience that our 2 children (5 and 3) were also very enthusiastic about. Day trips of 10 km were very easy for the children to do and they still had energy left to play in the beautiful swimming pools of the agriturismi. Everywhere we were received well and we received very good service. Certainly worth repeating and an absolute must! Thank you Tinne. Marc and Miek.

We had wonderful walking days with each other and the donkey in the beautiful Tuscan landscape! The agriturismos were super located and we enjoyed swimming and eating there. The walks were pretty tough. But we are proud that we did that together. Tinne, thanks for this wonderful experience. We look back on a few very beautiful days! Thanks again!

We made an unforgettable trip with our kids through our donkey through Tuscany. Through fields, over boulders and through a river. We five, a donkey and beautiful views. And after a warm and intensive trip, rest at quiet and pleasant agriturismo's. Delicious. Everything was super arranged!

In June 2018 we ran the six-day 'Il Giro'. We can only confirm the enthusiastic reactions. It is a beautiful trip with a warm welcome and delicious food every evening. The trip is a bit more challenging than the km indicate, especially in warm weather. There are quite a few climbs in it. In retrospect, we should have booked a rest day after days 3, 4 or 5. These are accommodations with wonderful swimming pools. Tinne thanks for the warm welcome and a lot of success with this initiative.

We enjoyed the fantastic trip with donkey Selvaggia! With our five (Selvaggia & our family with two children aged 5 and 8 years) we did the five-day Libbiano. Some parts went smoothly, some parts were (very) spicy, but we could always reach our goal (the next agriturismo) in the early afternoon. As a result, we still had time to enjoy the warm welcome, the swimming pools with a view and the delicious food. Sleeping in the tents gave the trip an extra nice dimension. Thank you Tinne and Altratoscana for organizing these fantastic walks!

Thank you, Tinne, for the great hikes we made with our new hero Otto! Honestly, 9 and 12 km up and down steep hills was a little bit too challenging for our 7, 6 and 4 year olds (the youngest even had chicken pox during the tour, poor thing...), but they did great! It was Otto who made them accomplish this challenge. He waited for them when they were too far behind and he let them sit on his back when things got too heavy (uphill). Both agriturismi were wonderful with great friendly staff and wonderful food. It was an experience to never forget! Thanks and we will pass on the word and publicity! Hello Tinne We did the 6 day long walking tour together with the donkeys Otto and Carolina. Especially the long trips of almost 15 km were tough in the warm July sun. But afterwards the satisfaction of the beautiful paths and the hospitable agriturismo's made up for everything. Along the way you will not meet anyone, making you really with your family and the donkeys. Otto and Carolina were super sweet and welcome traveling companions. Highly recommended this week. Hi Tine, you have given us an unforgettable three-day event. Everything was organized perfectly by you. Thanks again for always leaving our trips from Guado al sole.

Hello Tinne, Thank you for the very nice vacation; we had a wonderful experience. Everything went right; Camelia was cooperative; she became best friend with Benoit for whom it was difficult to eat lunch without company (there was often a big nose up his shoulder). I told you in my previous mail that Camelia is cleaver. Well, its because she manages to open her gate at La Landuccia (sliding it on the side with her nose). Jonathan had to solidified the gate. Fortunately, she went just a few meter away and were able to put her « in safety » right away. Finally, you might have other visitor from Québec, Canada: our good experience will probably interest some of our friends and family (my sister is actually very jalous of my Altratoscana vacation...). Thank you again, we might meet again in the future, Fanny, Benoit, Jean et Lucie xxxx

We had chosen this trek near Pomarance because it looked interesting and beautiful to us, but also because it seemed fairly easy, with daily distances of 12-15 kilometers: adapted to our age (80+) Instead, the trip in the Monterufoli Natural Park was very adventurous: We waded a river four times, we walked on steep paths and rocks. We manage with walking sticks and Garmin (GPS), without which we would undoubtedly have lost the right path. But we have forgotten all those tiredness because of the breathtaking nature and landscapes! We had the feeling of walking around in an abandoned Italian jungle, where we didn't meet anyone for days. A miracle! Instead, we saw roe deer, mouflons, countless traces of wild boar and wolf droppings. And a very rich and very different flora! Regarding our efforts: we have done it! That gives us a lot of satisfaction. Another reward for our efforts has given us the owners of the farms! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, we are spoiled with delicious dinners. They gave us the opportunity to practice Italian with very interesting conversations. The accommodation was also immaculate. Conclusion: We find the trek near Pomarance, organized by "Altratoscana" from Tinne Terneven, one of the best we've ever made! Thank you very much for this in all respects unforgettable draw! And for the support en route! Very warm regards, Chris and Age

What we enjoyed the six-day 'Il Giro'. Alternating in every way. No piggies seen, but eaten and wonderfully prepared. We liked the variety in the stays very much. From basic to luxury. Romance and grandeur. Always very welcoming, original and everything with attention. Every day was special in every way. We made the dishes taste good, just like the wine. The walks were easy to do, the pools were a wonderful reward and soaking in the waterfall was a paradise. Tuscany has gained a new dimension for us. An experience that we will not soon forget. Thanks Tinne, also for your extra commitment and thanks also to all Italians, hosts and hostesses who crossed our path. And the Dutch way: we got value for money and more than that.

We boarded the seven-day 'Il Giro' in May. Sun, rain and thunderstorms kept us company. The paths sometimes looked pretty rough, but that didn't spoil the fun. The GPS guided us everywhere with ease. The landscape with the countless types of spring flowers has stolen our hearts. Add to that a meeting with wild boar with offspring and the trip can no longer be missed. The villages are picturesque, the overnight locations all have their own, very diverse, charm. We were received enthusiastically everywhere. Thank you, Tinne, for planning this beautiful trip in an unknown part of Tuscany and as you said, you will not encounter any other walker on the paths. Highly recommended for tranquility!

Enjoyed the beautiful walks through a beautiful part of Tuscany. We walked 6 days and every day was different. Many beautiful flowers this time of the year. Nice piercing through rivers, beautiful views and beautiful old towns. The welcome at the agriturismi was very welcoming. We ate delicious food all week. Along the way and at the agriturismi it was very quiet. We were often the only guests. A great experience!

We have made a great trip with donkey Otto! Nice to be able to care for him and take him on the road. It was a very nice route with stops at cool agriturismos. The food we had there was also delicious (a lot of haha). Highly recommended, even without children. It seems spicy in more than 30 degrees (we were there in April). It is also reasonable to do if you are five or six months pregnant, as long as you are fit and take it easy.

We really enjoyed the walking holiday. Great food, nice trips, nice people. The walks were varied and very quiet, indeed we did not come across a walker. Once a deer and a green snake. The autumn weather was also beautiful. Only blue skies and it was still so hot that we regularly sweated in our T-shirt. The GPS did well it was very clear. But sometimes the route was gone or the entire screen was blue. Just reload the route and it was good again. Perhaps sometimes a button was pressed in my pocket. Maybe we will do it again in the spring. Good luck, and the very best. And maybe goodbye.

What a week, What an adventure! 6 days with our 2 donkeys Selvaggia and Carolina on the road, of which 5 days with about 30-35 degrees about 12-15 km a day walked through forests, along and through (dry) rivers and the Tuscan hills ... our family with 4 children (7,8,10,11) imagined themselves alone in the world ... what a rest, but also what a top sport we have occasionally practiced. Walks especially day 1.3 and 5 were very challenging & therefore also sooo memorable! We did it! And oh how we deserved to enjoy the pool in the afternoon! Every evening, after the extensive meal, we fell tired and very satisfied in a deep sleep! Every day we had a different reason to get off to a fresh start, of course the dear little donkeys in first place (although they sometimes drove us to madness ... ), easy route predicted, oh almost rest day, ohh today short route .. egg, where would we sleep tonight ... how is the swimming pool .., we are almost there! The places where we slept were also a surprise every time and worth the walk, where would we sleep? What are we going to eat? is there a swimming pool? are there many other animals? where do our donkeys sleep? were questions that occupied us daily. What we did not expect is that as a family we have become even closer, we really did it together! Satisfied, proud and with a super-empty head we got back in the car after the last hugs with the donkeys, to the next destination .. In short: a must and week to remember!

Already a few days back home after almost 2 weeks in Italy and I miss the beautiful surroundings, the friendly people, the peace and quiet, the walking, the sweet donkey Camelia and the sun. Together with the children (5, 9 and 11 years) walking six whole days was moments quite tough, but there was a lot of distraction. A dog that walked with us, a turtle that crossed the road, the view after our climb up, the people in the villages .... Thank you Tinne for these beautiful memories and new experiences.

We have just returned from our wonderful holiday. The children enjoyed the donkey trek and Camelia appears daily in our conversations. It was therefore a very nice coincidence that we saw her again on our last holiday evening in Guado al sole. In addition, we found all agriturismo s gems with super friendly people. We feel that we have seen a piece of unspoilt Italy. Thank you for making this unforgettable experience possible!
